Just like empires, companies can come and go over time. However, some continue to exist for centuries, and the secret to this is successful leadership.
Great leaders can motivate employees, help others see and believe in a constructive vision, and lead to innovation. Having a great leader is something that all investors, consumers, and employees want. Here is a list of the 13 most influential business leaders who are changing the world.
Tim Cook
Cook is the CEO of the most valuable company in the world, Apple. He took over Apple after the company’s founder, Steve Jobs, succumbed to cancer in 2011. Cook has helped navigate Apple through the transition since Jobs’ death, as well as developing new product lines and opening Apple Stores in China. He also waged a very public battle against the FBI and their demand that Apple creates a “secret loophole” for users’ iPhones.

What originally started as a lag-free, unlimited-dates subscription service soon transitioned into online streaming, which shook the very foundation of digital entertainment. In addition, Hastings has consistently used his position of influence to promote change and reform within the California State Board of Education and through charter schools.
Mary Barra

He first learned about the Internet during a short trip to the US, and when he returned home, he created a small website about China and Chinese products. This was his first step toward creating a company that would hold the record for the largest IPO in history.
Jan Kum
